The Sabbatical Candidates for this year’s elections have appeared on The Orbital News Show on Insanity Radio, to coincide with the first day of SURHUL Elections campaigning.

All candidates were invited to the studio at noon on Wednesday 3rd February, to present their manifestos and be interviewed by The Orbital Editor Nick Stylianou and Insanity Head of News/The Orbital’s Associate Editor (Society) Sarah Honeycombe. Seasoned News Show veterans, the pair presented 2008-2009’s Insanity News Show.

Candidates were interviewed in reverse constitutional order, with the Vice President (Student Activities) going first, followed by the Vice President (Communication and Campaigns), then Vice President (Educations and Welfare) before finally talking to the Presidential candidates.

Candidates were given precisely thirty seconds to outline their campaigns, before being asked questions about their manifestos. Listeners were able to text and e-mail their questions to the candidates directly.
