: Hello and welcome to The Orbital’s Live Coverage of
Candidate Question Time!
Well done, theorbital.co.uk! I have been unable to attend tonight and doing a live feed and posting is fantastic. I’ve been able to catch up on the whole evening’s events! Boom, shake shake shake the room! x
I have a question for Scott. Scott, I watched your speech on http://www.theorbital.co.uk. I will be watching your answer on http://www.theorbital.co.uk. You may as well wave. What experience have you had of this website not working?
I love the way the link has now been fixed… but I have a screenshot of the website not working earlier today.
The message displayed when the sport link is clicked was ‘You seem to have found a mis-linked page or search query with no associated or related results.’
Hi Scott,
Our website is understandably in the process of being updated, and there is a backlog of content to upload – in this fast-paced online world we live in, our website is always changing. I think Laura’s point stemmed from the connotation of the word ‘broken’; our website most certainly isn’t broken, we just hadn’t updated the sports tags! Thanks for flagging this up, and it’s most certainly helping us keep on top of things.
A bloke who can’t support the Students’ Union publication or give any helpful suggestions would not make a good president. Constructive criticism, ‘let’s work together’ might have given you a better chance of winning. In your email, Scott, you said you didn’t think you stood much of a chance. Why are you so sure? I think it’s because you know you’re too negative and cocky. Why are you trying to alienate people and then go back for more? No-one likes a smart…….. Fin.
In response to the editor:
I totally understand I work in IT and constantly have old information being accessed among many other problems. The point I was trying to put across was that, although we are getting a new SU website, we need to make sure it works correctly.
New website = new content! All of our previous content can be found in our comprehensive Issue Archive.
