Competitions

We advise entrants to read the T&Cs outlined on competition pages as well as those outlined here. The Orbital will do its best to ensure competitions remain fair at all times. In the event that The Orbital is unable to provide a prize, it will provide an alternative prize to the value of the original prize. The information obtained through competitions will not be given to third parties but may be used by The Orbital for marketing purposes. To opt out, please email [email protected]. The Orbital reserves the right to refuse an entry under any circumstances.

Golden Ticket
The competition offers the chance to win free entry to Students’ Union events and other prizes. You need to have entered your information at theorbital.co.uk/goldenticket to be legible. Only UK mobiles will receive texts. Those who entered using UK landlines and international numbers will receive an email. Each entrant will need access to a Facebook account. “All events” refers to 8 nights out at the Students’ Union. All entrants must be new or returning students as of the academic year 2014-15. One entry per student. We will only refund an existing pass holder if the pass was purchased on or after the competition start date/time (Monday 15th September at 10am). Those who already hold a Welcome Week Pass should not enter the competition. Entrants must be 18 or over. Winners will be selected at random and announced periodically throughout the week. Winners will be announced publically on Facebook. Competition closes on Friday 19th September at 9pm. You must be able to show valid ID to collect your Golden Ticket (driver’s license, passport or PASS holographic ID only).
