Two men released without charge following attempted sexual assault in Englefield Green

Two men arrested last week following the attempted sexual assault of a woman in her 30s in Englefield Green have been released without charge.

Police officers were called to the area in Englefield Green, near to Princess Court, Bond Street, in the early hours of Friday 15th January after a woman reported that three men had attempted to sexually assault her in a car park.

Since the reported incident, police officers have been carrying out door-to-door visits in the Bond Street area. CCTV footage has also been analysed and various items have been sent for forensic examination.

Surrey Police are still appealing for information about the incident, Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Paddy Mayers, said: “This was a deeply concerning incident and I would appeal to anyone who saw, heard or knows something which may be significant to the investigation to get in touch with police.

“Additional patrols are taking place and a number of enquiries are also being carried out in the area both as reassurance to residents but also as part of the investigation.”
