Join the Royal Holloway French Society for their Christmas trip to Lille!
A former European Capital of Culture, Lille is a beautiful and traditional French town with a world renowned reputation for art, great shopping and dining and a student-driven nightlife scene.
We will be visiting the Lille Christmas Market, famous for its 50m high Big Wheel which offers spectacular views of the entire city, artificial snow-covered village which fills the entire Grand Place square, 18m high Christmas tree; and over 80 wooden Christmas chalets, each selling unique Christmas gifts, decorations and food. We will be deciding upon other tourist and cultural attractions to visit with those who sign up for the trip.
The cost of the trip will be £125 and the price includes:
Transport with iDBUS (departing from London Victoria Coach Station at 23:30 Friday 12th December and arriving back at London Victoria Coach Station at 05:00 Monday 15th December).
Accommodation at the hotel F1 Lille Mons en Baroeul.
Breakfast at the hotelF1 Lille Mons en Baroeul on Sunday morning.
Free use of the Lille urban area public transport system (buses, metro and tramway).
A trip to the Lille Christmas Market and any other visits decided by you!
