Police Appeal Following Arson Attempt in Englefield Green

They’re are currently investigating into the circumstances of a fire at an address in Englefield Green which is believed to have been started deliberately. At around 2.30am on Monday 24 October it was reported that a lit item was put through the letter box of a property in Corby Close.

Although there were no injuries, or any serious damages following the incident, DI Dee Fielding, leading the investigation, said: “Thankfully no-one was injured during this incident but there could have been a much more serious outcome to this dangerous act.
“Help us bring those responsible to justice. Surrey Police takes incidents of arson extremely seriously and I would urge anyone with any information, however small it may seem, to come forward.”

The witness appeal has been posted online through Surrey Police, and they are appealing for any information regarding the incident, or if anyone saw anything suspicious the previous evening.
