Six Injured in Egham Collision

Six Egham occupants were injured when a black Nissan pick-up truck collided head on with a white Mercedes van around 7:40pm on Sunday 2nd October. The incident occurred at the Vicarage Road junction by Mead Close in Egham. The road was closed while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the event were carried out at the scene, blocking vehicle access. Out of the six pedestrians who were involved in the collision, two were deemed to have been seriously injured. They were then taken to St Geroge’s Hospital via ambulance to be treated for the injuries to their arms and legs. Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses of the collision, which continues the ever more frequent series of road accidents in Egham. Vehicle Incident at the gates of Royal Holloway

This morning at approximately 10.05am there was a collision by the front gates. Student Evie Courtier was crossing the bridge at the moment of the crash just after 10 this morning and states she “heard a commotion below” before looking down to a man disembarked from his motorbike, and at least 3 cars involved. The situation seemed severe, but the public passing below took action immediately and within minutes the police and an ambulance had been called. When passing about 20 minutes later other students commented on the situation, however it all seemed to be in the control of the emergency services. Collision on Egham Roundabout

A collision occurred yesterday, Friday the 15th of January, at around 3:15 PM on the Prezzo roundabout in Egham. Driving past the scene at 3:35 PM, three cars and one bicycle remained on the roundabout, indicating they were either involved in the collision, or at least, witnesses of the incident. Three police cars and one ambulance attended the scene. Paramedics appeared to be checking a female for injury at the back of the ambulance. Traffic continued to flow slowly under the manual control of a police officer. A school bus was forced to change route due to the scene still not being clear as it went to collect students, from school. Road safety petition launched after 13 year old girl was killed in Ashford.

A friend of a teenager who was killed in a fatal collision in Ashford over Christmas, has started an online petition for a footbridge to be built over the A30, to prevent future accidents.Lia Slade, 13, was hit on the Staines bound carriageway of the A30 London road at 5pm on Saturday 27th December, and was transported to St Georges Hospital in Tooting. However, she tragically died in hospital the following morning. Her friend, 14 year old Ella-Louise Ayling of Clare Road in Stanwell, has created a Facebook page titled ‘Build a Footbridge Across the A30 to Save Life’s’ (sic) in honor of Lia.
